Ginger is happy in new home! Far cry from the puppy mill days.

UPDATE: Ginger did have a cancerous tumor. The doctor removed it and her mammary glands in the hope that that will solve the problem. She is doing fine, and all we can do is hope for the best. Ginger was a very lucky girl to have landed with such a wonderful family that was willing to take an older girl off the street and provide so much vet care for her. Thank you.

Ginger is now doing great in her new home!! She is a much loved member of the family, and will soon be going on her very first beach vacation!! Congratulations Ginger for finding a loving family who loves you like you deserve to be loved!! And thanks to the lovely family that was willing to give an older girl a second chance.

Here is Ginger! I was contacted by someone who found a female setter lost and running around. She was almost hit by a school bus when the kind hearted rescuer took pity on her and took her in. Ginger had recently had puppies; she still had milk. It seems someone took the puppies and then dumped their mother because she was no longer needed. She also had a very neglected ear infection.

Ginger has been through a lot of neglect, and we want to thank all the kind hearted people who took time out of their day to help get this girl to a safe and loving foster home where she had a chance at finding out what it means to be a cherished member of the family, and not just a breeding machine.

And now that foster home has become her permanent home. She is a beautiful girl and we are so happy to list her as one of our success stories.

But of course there are others still in need of foster homes and permanent homes. If you can make a donation towards their care it would be most appreciated. Let's rescue another birddog!
