She became involved with setter rescue when she was driving down the street and saw Susan walking her English Setters. Of course she had to pull over and say, "I have English Setters too! Call me if you ever need any help". Since then, OESR came into being and many sweet, loving setters have been rescued and adopted to wonderful new homes. Pru's husband, Tim, also volunteers with OESR, and together they have fostered several setters waiting for their forever homes.

Pru and Tim have been with OESR from the beginning. From calling vets to check references, transporting dogs, fostering dogs, making dog toys for fundraisers, baking dog treats,whatever needs done, they have always been up to the challenge. Pru is "the voice of reason" in the group; they are indispensable members of the rescue. Pru is also a serving board member.
